Beautiful oval Victorian mourning brooch with a seed pearl center and an applied forget-me-not flower motif. This can been worn as a brooch or pendant. The pendant latch moves so that it can be hidden when this piece is being worn as a brooch. The back has a center beveled glass piece that opens; this was used to keep a lock of hair or a piece of a treasured item. There is an antique c-closure with this item dating to the turn-of-the-century. Its in lovely condition and would be a treasured item in any vintage jewelry collection.
