As one of the survivors of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke obtains the power of kekkeigenkai–sharingan and is recognized as a genius among ninjas of the same age. In the ninja academy, Sasuke, who is both talented and handsome, is very popular among girls. Sasuke lived under the shadow of his brother throughout his childhood, and his obsession with the power of "revenge" prompted him to leave the Hidden Leaf Village.
