P-Model, led by Susumu Hirasawa and formed in 1979, became a central figure in techno-pop/new wave music. This album, originally released in 1986 from 'EDGE,' a label established by ALFA RECORDS, has been reissued as a Blu-spec CD2 with the latest digital remastering. 'ONE PATTERN' is their seventh album, recorded with a completely new lineup from their previous work 'KARKADOR': Susumu Hirasawa (Vocals, Keyboard, Guitar), Teruo Nakano (Bass, Keyboard, Vocals), Yasuhiro Araki (Drums, Gong Bass, Percussion), and Yoshikazu Takahashi (Systems). It stands as both a culmination of P-Model's 1980s work and a masterpiece that explored an evolved form of techno-pop at it's most upbeat, maintaining it's unique artistic vision. The album features the distinctive, expansive vocals of Susumu Hirasawa in tracks like 'Zebra,' and includes compositions by new member Teruo Nakano, breaking new ground for the band.
