A blast from the past! The MXR M166 time delay is an analog slap back delay that uses the now discontinued Reticon chip, the same chip as the original EHX electric mistress and many other famous pedals. It has around 300ms of delay. The pedal itself is in fantastic condition and even the original rubber is on the bottom. There is a trim pot in the battery compartment to control the wet/dry mix. This delay has a very unique and almost modulated sound. Like being in a narrow tunnel.
Everything is functional. Only flaw is that you need to press the switch flat and straight down. The box has seen better days but considering this is from the 80s and still has the instructions I'd say the whole package is a really cool part of MXR history.
