The Intel AXXCBL470CVCR is an OCuLink cable kit that lets you connect an NVMe drive bay to the OCuLink port on an Intel server board without fuss. At 470 millimetres long, the cable offers enough reach to route around internal components, while still keeping excess slack to a minimum for better airflow.

One end uses a straight OCuLink SFF-8611 connector that plugs cleanly into the motherboard or RAID module. The other end features a right-angle SFF-8611 connector that fits neatly against the backplane, a helpful detail when space near the drive cage is tight. Because the connectors are keyed and secure, you get a solid, stable signal path that helps maintain the high-speed throughput NVMe storage is built to deliver.

The kit is validated for Intel R1208, R2208, R2208+8 and R2224 systems, so you can drop it into those chassis with confidence. Use it when you are adding additional NVMe drives, replacing a damaged cable or building a fresh server that has to stay online around the clock. Installation is straightforward: seat each connector, check the latch, and the link is ready.

For data-center managers, lab technicians and anyone responsible for keeping critical workloads running, this cable provides a small but essential upgrade that helps ensure reliable storage performance day after day.

Highlights:

  • 470 mm length gives enough reach for most server layouts without excess slack
  • Straight OCuLink SFF-8611 connector on one end and right-angle SFF-8611 connector on the other for easier routing
  • Designed to connect an NVMe drive bay to an HSBP SSD connector on the server board
  • Validated for Intel R1208, R2208, R2208+8 and R2224 systems
  • Useful for new builds, drive upgrades or replacing worn cables in existing servers
