The ColorReader from Datacolor is a sophisticated colour matching tool that offers a combination of accuracy and flexibility. It is designed to match colours to popular paint manufacturer fan decks with over 94% accuracy. Connected to mobile devices via Bluetooth and the ColorReader app, the app can be customised for professional applications with an SDK, allowing for personalised branding, authorisation of specific fan decks and user registration with the cloud-based ColorReader Fleet Management software.
The app also promotes paint sales, with the ability to complete orders through the app. For more creative uses, such as for architects, designers and other technical users, colour information can be output in CIELAB, RGB, CMYK, HEX or Delta E values. The device also has a built-in LiPo battery, providing more than 300 measurements per charge and can be recharged using the micro-USB port.
