The Async RS-232 to RS-485 Interface Bidirectional Converter, DB9 Female to DB9 Female, features a DB9 female connector on the RS-232 side, and a DB9 female on the RS-485 side. It converts your unbalanced RS-232 signals to balanced half-duplex RS-485 signals.
- Transmit data up to 115 kbps or at distancesup to 4000 ft.
- Operates in point to point or multipoint applications.
- 2-wire operation half-duplex only.
- Async (data leads) only.
- Up to 32 RS485 devices can be attached to create a large multi-drop network.
- The RS485 driver is automatically enabled during each spacing state on the RS232 side.
