The Bixpy Hand Steering is a compact system which provides steering for the Universal Kayak & Canoe Adapter and the Universal Rudder WillFit™ Adapter. This steering system can also be used for non-Bixpy applications, however, it is not recommended for motors larger than 30 lb in thrust or motors that weigh considerately more than the Bixpy Jets (which only weigh 2 lb).
The Bixpy Hand Steering provides 1.4" (36mm) of line travel in each direction (left and right), an ideal distance for rudders, but not great for larger motors that require more travel.
To create a better and more responsive steering system for adapters with long motor shafts (like the Power Pole WillFit™ Adapter or the Universal Kayak & Canoe Adapter), we recommend the addition of the Bixpy V-Arm™ Steering Bracket.
