The best part of this piece is that it comes with a bit of history. This was purchased at an estate sale & it had a tag attached to it with some information pertaining to original owners as well as second owners. I asked the woman I purchased it from but she could not recall where she acquired the scale but that it already had the tag on it but she was not related to either family so not sure of the full history of this piece but it makes it a bit more special :)
Condition: It appears it may need to be recalibrated as the weight measurements appear to be off by an ounce.
